The Public Pictogram System marked its first anniversary in December 2023, adhering to a principle of continuous improvement through rolling updates. The latest version, “December 2024 Edition,” has been updated to address gender inclusivity and Taiwan’s waste recycling issues. We welcome everyone to stay engaged and download the latest open-source public pictograms.

The signing of this Memorandum of Cooperation marks a significant milestone for both organizations, paving the way for Taiwan’s advancement in smart meteorological services and enhancing public welfare. Future plans include the gradual rollout of a series of projects and activities aimed at promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration and participation, ultimately creating more comprehensive and accessible meteorological services for the public.

The forum covered topics ranging from sustainable exhibitions, circular economy, and spatial design to comprehensive urban planning, collectively crafting a new chapter for sustainable cities.

To foster design exchange between Taiwan and the Philippines and promote objectives such as circular design, the Taiwan Design Research Institute, embarked on an international exchange event in the Philippines this June.

We welcome students from various colleges and universities to experience workplace life, explore future career directions, understand themselves, and thus have more expectations and plans for life, inspiring those interested in the field of design research to join us.

Election is a highly public issue across the entire country. Thus, TDRI upholds the basic spirits of rationality, fairness, and objectivity. With such systematic integrated thinking, Taiwan’s election administration has gained a high level of trust of its people through over four decades of development, and this stable state marks the perfect timing for introduction of aesthetic thinking.

The design week to be held at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in December represents the first time such an event will take place in Taiwan. With “Elastic Bridging” as the theme, it will showcase how Taiwan adapts and increases its impacts by bridging wisdom and resources across fields.

In order to promote the international use of the power of design to solve economic, social and environmental problems at all levels, TDRI cooperated with WDO to develop the city design index research and published the research results at this membership meeting.
